Pretty Clever? Pretty Cool!

Just wanted to pop in real quick and thank Brandy Dean and all of the people over at Pretty Clever Films for recognizing me today, March 4, 2013, as their "Blog of the Day" entry. It's hard to put into words just how wonderful it is to be recognized when you have a blog or a website that you put a lot of hard work into. I do put a lot of work into "1001 Movies I (Apparently) Must See Before I Die", but I certainly wouldn't call it hard work. I have a blast watching movies and when you can do that and get recognition for it, it's pretty freakin' awesome.

So you should all head over to Pretty Clever Films and register, because in just the few minutes that I perused the site, it looks like a film lover's utopia! I haven't registered yet, but you can bet your buns I will and I can't wait to indulge in all of the features of Pretty Clever Films.

Thank you again!

  2. An utterly un-related question Andrew..
Is there a way of us knowing if there has been a new comment posted on an older post?
Each day, you new film appears at the top opf the list.. we make a comment, and you respond.. Easy. If I made a cooment on a recent film and want to see if anyone else has added something, I can scroll down the last couple of days.. and, 'oh look, there was only 1 comment yesterday, now there are 2, something there is something new'
But..If I make a comment on a film from, say, a year or so ago.. you obviously see it, but unless I/we trawl through all 600+, I will not know they did so. it sort of makes anything you did more than a week or so ago a bit forgotten about.
I'm thinking of other people, also making the journey, who see a film you covered , say, 2 years ago, they look through your archive, read and respond.... I'd like to see it.

  3. Thank you. Even I can work out how to use that very simple link.. It will save me a lot of searching. It also means your past comments are still a living thing.
(I for one would love to see what others are saying and maybe we can get some discussive threads going)
