Andew, your timing is terrible.
ReplyDeleteAfter a while with not muc to reply to.. I go away for a few days.. and there are lots to respond to.
I'm exhausted and stressed and headachy .. so you will have to wait a bit...
Ray, hope you're feeling better. Come back soon!
DeleteSorry for the delay ..I really have felt drained this last week or so....
ReplyDeleteNo need for sorries Ray. Hope you start feeling yourself again soon! Glad to see you back!
DeleteI'm posting this once again, because I'm not sure that my last comment uploaded. Where are you, Andrew? It's been over a month. I (we) want you back!
ReplyDeleteYour last comment never came through Michael. I just wanted to clarify that so you didn't think I just deleted it or something.
DeleteThank you so much for this comment. It's nice to missed! I guess I should have gotten off my ass and written a little something detailing my absence. I did tweet the other day that I'd be back soon, so if you're not Twitter following me, you can do so by clicking the link on the right or just going to Twitter and following me @adduvall1984
I was actually in Philadelphia for a few days last week having the time of my life with my wife (tongue twister alert). A few weeks prior to THAT, I vowed to hit THE BOOK hard following my return and decided to just take a few weeks off. So I'm back and now we're heading into my work weekend, so I hope to get SOMETHING watched and reviewed, although Truffaut Week may be on the back burner while I tackle The Decalogue (which is going to take multiple sittings, so bear with me, as it still may be another week or two before I get anything here). However, I may tackle something easy just to slip into something more comfortable and THEN do Decalogue.
So yeah, I'm still alive, well and ready to finish THE BOOK, it's now just a matter of time and motivation. Hopefully anyone else who's wondering where I've been finds this comment, especially Ray who I'm sure has also been wondering. (Hope you're feeling better Ray!).
Thanks again Michael for asking!
Thanks for responding! I'm glad that you'll keep on doing this - I can't wait for The Decalogue, as I'm from Poland.
Delete"See" you soon!
My hopes are high for The Decalogue for sure!
DeleteYou know, I've kept saying just about every day for weeks now.. I must say hello to Andrew.. this unofficial Hiatus has been going on for some time..
ReplyDeleteSo well done Michael.. and I'm glad someone else was thinking 'Where has he gone?'
I'll be back at it as soon as I can. Like I said, The Decalogue will take me multiple sittings to say the least, so hopefully it won't be too much longer. Thanks for the concern!
Delete'The Decalogue' is not to be at all feared, despite what looks like a fearsome length.
DeleteOK, you need 10 watches for one tick, but they are not that long and are very watchable.
One think I never managed was to fully workout which film was which commandment...
Sorry about the late confirm & reply here Ray, as I usually do comment moderation from my phone and my phone has been acting a little whacky lately.
DeleteI'm currently five episodes in and I'd say each one has gotten progressively better. Definitely looking forward to the rest!
Thanks for letting me know.. I was wondering. Also glad to hear that your 'revial tour' woth The decameron as our backing group is going well. See it soon...
ReplyDeleteYeah, it us. My goal is to be finished with Decalogue by Wednesday night. Now whether that will happen or not is a different story...
